Synopsis

Se-Kyung has always believed hard work would lead her to success, but life has been anything but kind. After years of struggling to become a fashion designer, her boyfriend of six years vanishes with her savings, leaving her devastated. She’s clung to her motto l’effort est ma force (‘hard work is my strength’ in translation) until this very moment, but now, it feels like it’s all slipping away.

Just as she’s on the verge of giving up, Se-Kyung unexpectedly lands a job at a high-end fashion house in the glamorous district of Cheongdam-dong. But then, the dream quickly turns into a twisted reality when she finds out she’s been hired not as a designer, but as the personal assistant to Yoon-Joo, the company’s president’s wife and her former high school classmate—the same girl she once despised for her greed and ruthless ambition but now living the life Se-Kyung has always dreamed of, embodying everything she hated.

Disillusioned by the brutal truth of the world she’s stepped into, Se-Kyung starts to realize that hard work and talent might never be enough to climb the social ladder. In desperation, she turns to Yoon-Joo for guidance, deciding to become a daughter-in-law to a wealthy family following her footsteps. With the help of Yoon-Joo and the mysterious “White Rabbit” Tommy, Se-Kyung embarks on a journey to infiltrate high society. But will this Wonderland of luxury be the paradise she’s imagined after all?
