Surgeon Bong Dal-hee

Synopsis

Bong Dal-hee, a first-year thoracic surgery resident, is finally stepping into the life she’s always dreamt of getting accepted at one of the most prestigious medical centers in Seoul. However, things aren't as she hoped as she instantly becomes an underdog in every sense upon her arrival. Being the ugly duckling amongst her elite colleagues for coming from a small-town with a degree from a little-known medical school, Dal-Hee is determined to prove her worth despite her insecurities and a history of health setbacks. 

Thrown into the orbit of her icy mentor, Ahn Joong-geun, a perfectionist cardiothoracic surgeon with little patience for mistakes, Dal-Hee is pushed to her breaking point. Yet, amidst the pressure and constant scrutiny, she finds an unexpected ally in Lee Geon-wook, a kindhearted pediatric surgeon with a past he’d rather keep hidden. As their bond grows, he helps her navigate the turbulent hospital life and confront her own insecurities.

Amid life-or-death surgeries, professional rivalries, and complex relationships, Dal-Hee begins to learn that saving lives means embracing vulnerability and learning to trust others.. ultimately becoming the doctor she has always hoped to become.
