Synopsis

Set in an alternate universe where Korea is under modern day constitutional monarchy, Sunny, a lively and optimistic commoner musical actress who has been a huge fan of the Emperor for years suddenly becomes an Empress by an on purpose marriage planned by the Emperor to hide his wrongdoing. However, what first seemed like a Cinderella story quickly spirals into a nightmare. Not only does she get pulled into the insane war of palace power struggle but to a mysterious murder case that sets off events that threaten the monarchy itself as well.

Winning the Emperor’s heart isn’t her priority anymore. She must put her every effort to find a way to survive from this insane war between evil greedy psychopaths, or else, she will be the first one to go. Luckily, a Knight in Shining Armor, Wang Sik, a commoner whom joined as a bodyguard for the imperial family to seek revenge on his mother’s death, comes to rescue. As tensions rise and the palace’s dark secrets unfold, Sunny now must navigate the treacherous world of royalty, seeking justice and true love amid betrayal and corruption.
